Raising the Next Generation

Let me first share a short story, to show you what became possible when I changed how I show up as a parent.
Not long ago, there were a few things I needed to talk with my child about. For me they felt important and urgent, and I wanted clarity. So I asked him if we could go through the three points I had pending. He didn’t want to.
In the past I would have insisted and pushed to get what I wanted. But I have learned: a real request means being open to hear a no. So I let his no be a no. I stepped back and gave him space — even though everything in me wanted to get it sorted, now.
Less than an hour later, he came to me and asked if we could play a board game. I understood. This was his way of connecting. So we played. And we had fun, and when we finished he said: “I’m now ready to talk about your three points.”
And I realised: a no is never a wall. It isn’t “no, never” — it is “not like this, not yet.” A no is an invitation to look further, pointing us toward what the other can say yes to. And from that yes — from connection — everything else becomes possible.
Raising children today is not easy. The world moves fast, asks a lot, and rarely makes room for who our children actually are.
Do you feel overwhelmed, caught between wanting to do it differently and not quite knowing how?
You are not failing. You are at the doorstep.
This is not about becoming a perfect parent. There is no such thing. It is about something quieter and far more powerful: connection. With them, and with ourselves.
Because a child who feels truly met — seen, heard, taken seriously as a whole human being — flourishes. Children are not a project to be shaped for some future life. They are already fully alive, right now.

“Kinder wollen nicht auf das Leben vorbereitet werden, sie wollen leben.”
(Children don’t want to be prepared for life — they want to live.)

Growing Up in Connection
An intimate, safe space where you learn to connect with your child in a new way.
Over four online sessions, in a small group, you’ll learn how to meet your child through connection first. Not a set of techniques to perform, but a way of being that changes everything, held by others walking the same path.
This works. I live it, and I’ve watched it change our life.

Aufwachsen in Verbundenheit
